Big guns are pointed at me
I stay quiet for a while and suddenly the communicators are going crazy! Who are these people?

I become part of the sand
It's still weird, even after all I've seen, to look up at the sky and see the moons. I guess I was just expecting to have still been on Earth. It's slowly sinking in, though.

At least I can defend myself this time.

I start to sink where I stand
I've finally got the hang of firing a gun now! It only took forever. I really want to go out and see how I am on my own, but I'm still wary with this virus going around. I feel bad for the people who showed up in the middle of all this. I hope that cure's done soon. hang in there, everyone.

Night closes in
So I was looking through old files and stuff again and among all the boring cases of petty theft and armed robbery, I found something actually cool:

I think it's a diary page or something )

I feel bad for the people who lived here before us, I guess because they knew what it was like before whatever happened happened. I guess "that thing" is the disease or whatever one of the doctors found notes on a while ago?

Anyway, Cybil, weren't you looking for the key to that room? Maybe there are more clues around.

[ooc: And so plot begins.]

I start to sink where I stand
Man, Christmas is in... three days? Kinda losing track. Looks like we're not going to have a white Christmas. It's cold, but not enough to snow. I wish I could get gifts for people, but... well, it'd be nothing they couldn't scavenge themselves. The best I can do is try to remain optimistic, I think. The rain's getting better, right? It doesn't smell as bad lately.

I'm still willing to learn any moves you're willing to teach me, Cybil, or Leon or Jill or Rebecca or any of you that know anything about fighting. I really wish I'd taken some RAD courses at the university now. Sitting here day after day is getting really boring, looking through old police files. Some of the mug shots are pretty funny, though.

I stand washed of my pride
Okay, so far we have monsters, acid rain, and limited supplies. Sounds familiar. We've got a place to stay, though, which is great, and people willing to help. The... people not being from the same... world... thing is weird, but I'll try not to think about it too much, I guess. I'm kinda anxious to see more of this place, though.

That reminds me; when I got here, it was raining, but it hasn't rained since. Is there any kind of warning before it happens, or is it just spontaneous?

When lies are easy to find
Okay, I hope this thing is working.

Leon? Leon, are you here? It's Ashley. I thought we were going home What is this place? Are we still in Europe?

If you get this, I'm in... some kind of clothing store. I think I saw one of those bug things too.... Come quickly, Leon?
